I wonder how much court time or gym access kids are going to get in the off-season. I would have to think most gyms, playgrounds and workout areas will be closed and players advised not to congregate for pick up games for the foreseeable future. Of course I’m also wondering if there is going to be a regular school year next fall or a football or basketball season. I saw where Kirk Herbstreit said he’d be very surprised if there is football.

if either is played i think we'll really get to see who gets by on talent vs. coaching/scheme.

Basically all the guys are working out on their own right now. I was wondering the same thing, whether or not summer workouts, football, and basketball would be heavily impacted or cancelled.

If a season is cancelled and eligibility extended, I assume the NCAA would increase scholarship caps in the impacted sports. How would a ~20-25% increase in caps impact NU basketball specifically or the B1G generally? How long would that cap stay in place? Just 1 season? Lots to figure out if those things transpire.

The Chris Murray projections show illinois needing 0 hospital beds by mid June and deaths declining to zero. That's after incurring 2,400 deaths (illinois is at 65 deaths today).

I think that with Abbott's new, almost immediate test, the revenue sports will return in the fall. The kids will be tested before leaving home, the teams will be isolated and regular testing will be ongoing. Some form of this will occurr w all students, IMO.

Will their be live fans? Not until there's a vaccine.
