Indian Spam phone calls

Anyone else constantly getting calls from these cock-smokers? I have done all the do not call lists and I still have to block several numbers every week.

This has gone on for YEARS.

This is my business phone, so i don't want to just ditch it and start again with a new number. Is this just the cost of doing business these days or is there any way to get off these jack holes' lists?

I usually ignore calls from outside of OK and call back legitimate people who leave voicemails. The rest get blocked, but they have an infinite number of phone banks to generate new spam from. But lately they have been using 918 numbers which could be business clients. When I accidentally answer one of these, I ask them to put me on a do not call list and it inevitably results in a cussing argument that goes nowhere until I hang up on them.

It's always someone with a thick Indian accent reading a script for some kind of lying spam about debt consolidation, pre approved loans, lawsuit settlements blah blah blah. Googling the numbers always shows that they are crooks with multiple complaints.

I know some jerk probably signed me up for this a few years ago, but it never ends.

Yep, I get them too. Had the same phone number here at the house since the 1950's. Are on the do not call list, yet get probably a dozen of these "spoof" calls a week (where the number shown on the caller ID is not the actual number from which they are calling.) Drives me nuts.

Keep the line but hook up a fax machine. After a while, the calls will slow down to a trickle. The problem you both describe are the ONLY reason I have a landline with fax attached. Anyone who wants to talk to me knows to call my cell phone(which doubles as my business phone). Nobody gets the cell number without a VERY good reason. The landline is the number given when I deem the recipient not worthy to receive the cell number.

I get about 20 calls a week from "Google" trying to sell me crap...and the other calls are about some technical support bs I need on my windows computer that has been compromised.

Since about last October, excluding possibly a hand full of weeks in b/w, I get two calls a day. One in the morning 9ish and one in the afternoon 3ish...
