I know, I know....this is a Duke board, but let's not pretend we don't have a vested interest in this one tonight. My buddy is an IU grad and is in Bloomington for tonight's game. He told me that barring a setback, Blackmon and his injured knee will be in the lineup. If he's even at 85-90% that will give IU a fighting chance.
UNC's frontline, even though maybe not as formidable as in past years in sheer volume of players, holds a decisive edge on IU. I love Thomas Bryant as a player, but he's going to have his hands full....plus, he's incapable to playing heavy minutes without running into foul trouble. If he does get find foul problems, it greatly reduces IU's chance of not only winning, but also of keeping it close. They just don't have much size at all.
The Hoosiers will need to make outside shots and can't afford getting off to a slow start. The last thing you want to do is play from behind for 40 minutes. So far UNC has been so good that they haven't had to face in-game adversity....I'd like to see how they react to things not going their way. That said, it's a credit to how well they've been playing.
Plus, someone told me that Bilas thinks the Heels are the best team in the country.
