i haven't seen very much on here speaking to yesterday's in fielding play ...
very understandable given the absolute herculean, ironman effort from the gifted young man on the mound yesterday ... OG Jason DeCaro
i can't express how happy i am (we all are) for Jason to have such a game on such a tremendous stage
but i find myself compelled to give our Tar Heel infielders a separate thread for their impressive efforts and effects during a super regional elimination game ... sure a couple of plays were disappointing that they were not made, but IT'S BASEBALL ...
however, Cooper, Jake, Gavin and Eric (and Colin's throw-out, coupled with Jake's dig at second) made some truly special, athletic plays to save what could have been damaging offensive plays by a few of USC's batters
again, not wanting to or trying to take ANYTHING away from Jason ... just didn't want the above young men's Game 2 play to be lost in their significant contributions
lots a kudos to go around, for sure
let's close this out today, fellas
