Ware sure looked dazed. Hope it wasn't a concussion. And I didn't think Young put much weight on his ankle. So hope everyone is correct and they were minor and will be ready to go this Saturday. I think UK can win but they must have all hands on deck IMO.
Making matters even worse for Mizzou was the fact that the Tigers were decimated by injuries during the game. Already playing without the services of starting RG Alec Abeln (out w/ankle sprain), senior CB John Gibson was lost on the first defensive snap of the game to a sprained knee. Later, on the same series, senior WLB and team leader Michael Scherer was also knocked out of the game with a sprained knee. Starting TE Jason Reese had to leave the game in the first quarter with bruised ribs as well, and then in the fourth quarter, sophomore DT Terry Beckner, Jr., also left the game with a sprained knee.
I'd be shocked if Young was able to play this week...he was not even putting weight on that leg on sidelines well after he was helped from field.
Ware is the big one to me...we need him vs. Mizzou as an edge pass rusher. We had McWilson out there at OLB with all the attrition and he's not in the same league as Denzil.
Both of our DB's came back in the game after they went out with injuries. And Landon was hobbling around after the game celebrating.
Mizzou also has their leading tackler missing the first half due to being ejected.
If the Mizzou players left with knee injuries, I seriously doubt they'll be at full strength and able to play. Besides, it isn't the Mizzou defense that is scary. It's their offense.
