Was talking to a friend about this very thing. Obviously I don’t keep up with all the other teams injury issues but we have to have one of the worst track records.

I'll give Duke some credit here, it seems Kentucky and them are two of the more injury plagued teams in the last 15 20 years. Us more so, when you go down the list. But Duke has been snake bitten by some pretty problematic injuries as well. I really haven't seen any other power conference team be close to either UK or Duke in this regards.

Maybe we need to shift our athletic department to look into newer methods of training, mobility, recovery, etc.

These days kids start playing ball earlier than ever. They get injured young and carry some of those injuries all of their careers. Our current players are old, so they are going to have more previous injuries to deal with.

Age is an issue in more ways than one. Twenty five isn't old time wise, but how many here can remember when their bodies lost the boon of adolescent hormones? Suddenly you felt slower, food doesn't digest as well, can't stay up all night and bounce back, can't drink like you used to. If these guys don't adapt their diets and lifestyle then their health suffers.

Just my opinion on this one, but athletes these days are too big for their body frames. Some are built to handle the extra muscle mass but most are not. Building muscle is necessary for a successful career. Looking like Hulk Hogan is not.

Football schools playing football rules. It kills the game and injures our players every year.

The other thing is.. I believe Kerr has always been a little injury prone, and we're getting him, Carr and Butler as FIFTH year guys.. I'm not really surprised I guess to see injuries crop up a bit when you got some older guys who have some mileage on them

I said the same thing to my dad. If Pope wants to succeed long term in the SEC, got to have a couple of bruisers who don’t mind being physical.
I’m all about being able to pass dribble and shoot at all five positions but you have to have a lot of size and girth to survive the SEC. I’m confident that Pope will get it done

so much contact allowed in today’s game not surprising at all. refs have so much leeway for call/no call it makes the game unwatchable at times
