Has Bob addressed whether Will Johnson will return this week? I also read where Overton is out for the year. No link or back up on that one..........

The short article on OUInsider says everyone should be back, but we may be without Brooks this week.

From Stoops today:

""D.J. Ward checked out well, it just depends on when he's back at practice this week, but he should be ok. Same with Tay Evans, he just had a bruise on his hip. Charles Walker was better yesterday, so he should be back sometime this week. Alex (Dalton) is OK. Daniel Brooks may be out, we'll see how he goes through this week."

Well I gave you a like because you reported something we would like to know......Not because Ward is hurt.....
That's a relief.
I like sharing news regarding college football here with fans that might want to know what's happening around the country....like a California player hitting an official....or the strength of schedule for Michigan this season.

There are a lot of dings. Maybe the most important is Charles Walker. He didn't do much in practice the last two days. We already, as mentioned, lost Overton for the season. Dimon didn't play last week. Roberts didn't play last week.

Big Canada looked like an All American. Is that an oxymoron? We'll only be rotating two guys at the nose, rather than three. If one of them gets dinged, then that's a big problem. So Wade and Romar, and Romar has already spent time watching for most of August practice.

Ward is very questionable. That was a whiplash like injury. This reminds me of Clemson, in how diluted OUr DL depth is going to be.

A hip pointer for one of the Evans' at inside linebacker, though there seems to be a consensus that Beal is way better than the naysayers were complaining about. It would have been nice to be at full strength against these guys, but ... oh well.

Brooks is likely out.

Bob usually doesn't volunteer that kind of stuff and I watched the whole presser and I don't think anybody asked. The scribes were too busy wanting to ask questions about Ohio State. And why the state of Ohio produces such great football coaches.

What happened to Overton? Knee? Out for the season. That sucks.
