Intentional trip by Da'Monte Williams

I don't know what William's reputation is regarding unnecessary nonsense, but I remember Grayson Allen having issues with this when he played at Duke.

With 1:10 to go in the first half, Cockburn misses a jump hook and as the ball is rebounded by NU and they start up the floor, Williams (#20) intentionally trips Ryan Young from behind. Not seen by the referees, and it did not significantly impact the ensuing play. Of note though, several Illini players approached Williams at the timeout and were laughing with him about it. Thankfully Young didn't get hurt...which would have added a cherry to the top of season.

Missed the game. Who is D’monte Williams ? Never heard of him.

Didn't see it, but Da'Monte is a high character kid. If he did that, it's not typical of him. If Alan Griffin tripped Young, I would say that is not surprising, Williams otoh typically plays the right way.
