Basketballs that is. Duke is not the only team featured here but it is an interesting read on how each time can have an advantage by the brand of basketball used for games. When I was in HS back in the late 90's, we used Spaulding Top Flight 1000 balls. You guys remember those? I loved them because they had a "tacky" feel. I suppose they are still used but I haven't played in forever.

Thanks, very interesting article. On the playgrounds, the winning team selected the ball and the challenging team got to bounce it a couple times and that's it. Basketball is so organized now, I guess a lot of the guys only play with the ball of the sponsor of their AAU team and aren't used to playing with whatever someone brings to the playground.

You definitely wanted to win to select the ball of choice that is for sure.
