Interesting game stat.

The 30 pass completions against Purdue were the most ever without a sack or interception since 1988- 28 completions vs UC.

Pretty hard to dislike that stat, especially after an entire off season, fretting about that very thing.

After watching it on tv and realizing that one fumble was due to trying to extend the bill over the line (Easy fix) and the other one was a player taking a bad angle and bumping the handoff. So really the most glaring issue were the encroachment calls. Most of which will be resolved as Bell gains experience. But the zero sacks after last years sack fest on LJ was an awesome improvement. Plus I thought the D especially the secondary really stepped up in the 4th quarter. Overall it was not as bad as I first thought. Room for improvement sure but already improved over last year. Also I may have had to high of expectations. I thought we would win by 2-3 TD. Purdue played pretty tough and that's a credit to Jeff Brohm.
