I can only hope a massive school like Ohio State doing this will lead to others so that we aren’t the only idiots tied down by one of these contracts.

Yeah, if that's what JMI is telling recruits, "we can't guarantee you NIL", then no ******* wonder we can't land recruits.

Edit: could this possibly have contributed to the way certain guys on the roster have been acting?

What are you talking about? And most of the guys on this roster were paid before the JMI deal was in place meaning they didn’t have to negotiate with JMI at all.

Jmi sucks and their demands of having player nil rights assigned to them is a killer.

THAT SAID this language in the tweet is a nothing burger. Its just their attempts to comply with the rules to avoid pay for play.

Jones is nothing if not self serving. This jmi deal, although it sucks, cut out private collectives including one he was involved in. Whatever presumable financial benefit he had was lost.

That's why he is on a crusade against jmi. Doesn't mean he doesn't stumble into some good points, but this tweet especially is the most revealing of his motivation.

To me, all it says, is we will connect you with our partners, but there's no guarantee they will want you.
