It motivated the team. We were on pace to get smashed. Sorry to the handful of uk fans who have a problem with boos but if mark pope isn’t gonna motivate his team and come out with slow starts well that’s the benefit of being on the home team. On the road the people cheer when we screw it up. Our fans at home well you want silent Rupp? The people who argue against letting the team know we aren’t happy are Barney boys. Been watching since 78. Players didn’t get paid millions then or even just a few years ago. It’s a different time. Both players and coaches deserve to be booed when they are failing miserably. Playing poorly with effort is one thing but playing poorly without effort is very deserving of getting booed. Popes coaching this year is also very deserving of getting booed. He’s getting paid 5 million dollars to not suck and he has. He needs to learn how to be UK coach material or step aside. Until then, when warranted, the boos will rain down. If you don’t like it, don’t tune in or watch games with no volume. The fanbase is not here to please your snowflake ***.

When your effort shows how much you care about that name on the front.....nothing hypocritical about it. You act like fans are booing for no reason. Clearly Pope's Kumbaya coaching doesn't always get the message to them. Sometimes negative reinforcement of subpar effort does.
