IIRC, we are averaging 224 on the ground per game, they're giving up less than 100. So, something has to give. We're 3 touchdown dogs for a reason, and it takes little effort to imagine Lamar running free all day. Still, we have a puncher's chance because of our ground game.....

I'm not sure stats like that are ever really informative. Of course, when you give up a lot of rushing yards you're much more likely to lose. We pretty much already knew that.

Our ground game AND their lost fumbles.
This is something we are overlooking,I know you can't assume turnovers but they have put the ball on the ground a lot this year as have we.UL will have a plan designed to stop or slow down our run game,it will be up to us to successfully run the ball against whatever they try to do. We have a chance to keep this close but we will have to play as good as we have played in parts of games for a whole game and in addition have UL screw up. I am not convinced we can do that for an entire game.

The Tennessee stars were kinda skewed alittle. Jojo had a 70 yarder and also Johnson had one the first play. Two fifty in smaller chunks are more productive in ball control and finding the endzone. Which we didn't do at Tennessee.

Breaking off two 80 yard tds this weekend is equal to fourteen points and 30 seconds. We need the 160 in about 13 or 14 minutes that ends in two scores. The more our o is on the field the better we will be. This is a week where scoring to fast could be a real problem. Uofl will score. We need to just limit those opportunities, force them to throw it, and win to battle

Need a +20 on time of possession, td in red zone and win the turnover margin by +2 And don't allow an untraditional score off a kick or turnover.

I will say this that opening the game run your offense like you normally do. See if you can get that attack going without always running the play clock down. See if you make that 1st string D tired.

Missouri put up more than 400 yards rushing and over 700 total yards and lost.

That was after our game. I'm sure more teams put up 400 in wins last week too, but I'm not following the entire country's football teams every week to know the new numbers. When we lost, Nov 12, it was 30-1. Sounds like its 30 something and 2 now.
