Do you think that consumers should be tricked into consuming iodized salt or should individual Americans get to decide? Seems to be a hot topic these days with alot of ignorance free flowing about. We're fed all this bunk about iodine preventing mental retardation, but iodine is the same stuff they use to sanitize skin and kill bugs in water. Besides, kids are born with disabilities regardless of whether their mommas ate salt. And the government is encouraging groceries to carry salt laced with this stuff?!
I'm personally sick of the misleading labeling, but I understand why some people would be duped by Morton, et al., all of whom stand to benefit financially by selling the more expensive iodized salt products
