Please don't confuse him with facts. This isn't accurate. Penn State was up 14-3 on Iowa's 14 yard line when clifford was hurt....after the subsequent fieldgoal it was 17-3.

Iowa is down it's top two running backs, on top of losing their TE and QB is still gimpy. Weather calls for rain, but not a ton of wind - wind is the important factor. Even if weather is bad, I think this favors PSU more than Iowa. Line is actually 14.5 to 15 across the board, which seems to tell me that books don't mind taking Iowa money. Not sure if I'll bet PSU, but no way I'm betting Iowa.Weather will be a factor in this one. Might be smart to take those 14 points.

Good point. Iowa made it 17-10 when Clifford wasn't playing defense. This isn't accurate. Penn State was up 14-3 on Iowa's 14 yard line when clifford was hurt....after the subsequent fieldgoal it was 17-3.
I dont know what to tell you man. You said penn state was winning by a touchdown when Clifford got hurt...thats just empirically untrue.Good point. Iowa made it 17-10 when Clifford wasn't playing defense.
Typical Iowa corn shucker moron.Good point. Iowa made it 17-10 when Clifford wasn't playing defense.

Neither wind nor rain will save Kirk Ferentz from his well deserved meeting with Karma. A veteran coach should have been smart enough to take a win (21) knowing the outcome was more about Clifford 's injury than his team's prowess. Make no mistake injuries are part of football. A man of his experience should have enjoyed the win with grace.Iowa is down it's top two running backs, on top of losing their TE and QB is still gimpy. Is it possible they are faking the injuries? I hear that's a thing your better players do in big games.Iowa is down it's top two running backs, on top of losing their TE and QB is still gimpy. It was 17-10 when the new QB had his first snap. Hardly a “boat race” score BTW.Yeah and Iowa was getting boat raced 2 years ago before Clifford got hurt.
I smell a rat.Is it possible they are faking the injuries? I hear that's a thing your better players do in big games.
People run with a lot of things these days. Too many.He had more snaps than any other backup QB that didn't lose a starter to injury or coaching change than any other backup QB in all of the P5 conferences. I swear PSU has a group of fans that think every other school in the nation is playing their backup QB's at crazy high rates.....it's just not the fact. It's a myth and an easy one to debunk, but people run with it.
Its Iowa. What else do they have to do?Why, more than any other fan base, do Iowa fans invade Penn State forums (not just here) when it's a mutual game week? I enjoy seeing cordial discussions between opposing fans because it adds interest to the usual talk around here, but Hawkeye fans online seem to bring a different character of conversation with them.

Im wondering if the staff didn't see something with Villeaux. That game is a blowout if Clifford doesn’t get hurt. Roberson couldn’t even throw a ball, or even get the ball snapped for that matter. He just self destructed in front of us all. I’m still annoyed Villeaux (spelling?) wasn’t given a shot
agree on both points, and we also lost PJ Mustipher, the mainstay of the DL. CV also showed he was a just fine backup in the Rutgers game. Hard to imagine he wouldn't have done better than Roberson in that situation. I know the conventional wisdom was that he needed a few more weeks to be able to come into a game. we will never know. That game is a blowout if Clifford doesn’t get hurt. He wasn't playing ahead of Robbie that game. Let's just say it was a discipline issue. That game is a blowout if Clifford doesn’t get hurt. I don't think it would have been a blowout but we definitely would have won. Iowa only won by 3 and Roberson couldn't even get a signal called. That game is a blowout if Clifford doesn’t get hurt. Well, you got me on poor word choice. Empirically, technically, basically, and essentially.I dont know what to tell you man. You said penn state was winning by a touchdown when Clifford got hurt...thats just empirically untrue.
We aren’t trash. We don’t assume kids are faking injuries.Well, you got me on poor word choice. Empirically, technically, basically, and essentially.
It was 17-10 before Cliffs absence was going to have any effect on the outcome.
Btw, is it too early for me to start putting tonight's loss on no TE1, RB1, and RB2 with a half strength QB1?
Has anyone here suggested maybe they are faking?
Too late for that?
PJ never played again that year nor for spring. all assumed it was an ACL. how would that have been faked. why would anyone fake an injury anyway vs Iowa. That is not the style of Iowa - not Oregon or one of those fast pace teams. We aren’t trash. We don’t assume kids are faking injuries.
And how hard is it? It’s not a “technicality” it’s reality.
