As far as I am concerned Solimani deserved to die. As does Putin, Kim Jung-un and any other douche bag who lives to harm the West. I'd welcome a straight-up war with Iran in a perfect world. Since this can't exist in a vacuum it is fair to debate the wider consequences of such an action. What domino chain might this set off? What hole might we go down and would the ends justify the means? We all thought Saddam's removal was going to stabilize the region and it has caused countless additional problems that we have thrown a couple of trillion down yet we somehow can't afford to build a modern infrastructure (like China,etc.).

Fair questions that go beyond the momentary glee of a single hit. Yet, we see this literally through the lens of what political party might look better at the moment. Whose winning on Twitter.

America won. Some folks are afraid if they admit it they might turn orange.

IMHO... nothing substantial. Iran will threaten... they'll pound their chests... they make attempts at a few small scale attacks or strikes, but at the end of the day they probably realize we could make their lives a whole lot worse than they can ours.

We have got to STOP allowing these 3rd rate dictatorships to get away with poking us constantly. At some point we have to stand up, slap them around a bit and remind them of their place in the world. Because the more we tolerate their ********, the more emboldened they become and the more they will attempt.
