No but I do remember seeing them open up for Iggy Pop at the Vogue in Louisville right after Man in the Box came out.

Not even the best grunge band. Pearl Jam did it better (sold more albums) and longer... all w/o the help of heroin or w/o using death of a band member to elevate perceived status.

Compared to the "bands" of today they were great but the 90's produced a lot of really good grunge bands. JMO, thought Soundgarden was the best, but Pearl Jam probably can lay claim to the title because of longevity and number of albums sold. Never cared much for Nirvana, but know several folks who's till worship their music.

Loved all early 90s grunge especially AiC and PJ. Not sure Staley's death elevated their perception....they were pretty much done a few years before he died iirc and were certainly done after.

Really don't care for anything any those bands did after the period anyways. I mean, how many albums has PJ released since then and I haven't heard a note. That PJ documentary on MTV/Palladium tho.......sheeewwww was looking for some flannel to throw on.

Dude, I'm no PJ honk, even though I DO own all their studio albums in some form or another... but I've never heard a bad PJ album. In fact, I prefer their later stuff to the earlier stuff. Binaural and the subsequent albums are completely different than their 90's stuff and is the cross-section of their music I reach for when I reach for PJ. You need to hear the song "Just Breathe" (2009) before eschewing post-grunge PJ like that.

I love AIC. I think Dirt is incredible. Best ever? Nah. Best grunge? That's too judgemental. My favorites? AIC, Soundgarden, Nirvana, PJ. In that order. Jerry Cantrell is a tremendous musician.

AIC was not the best but Dirt was an incredible album. Mad Season was great but it was a little different than their other albums. The 90's music scene was awesome if you liked this type of music.

AIC
PJ
Nirvana
Sound Garden
Faith No More
Rage Against the Machine
Helmet
Metallica
NIN
GNR

I am sure I am forgetting some others. I have all these CD's in a box in my basement. Every once in awhile I will get one out so I can listen in the car.

Best ever? No.

But they were my favorite "grunge" band of the 90s by a pretty good margin (I thought Nirvana was one of the worst and Cobain is supremely overrated as a guitarist. Shoot me.) AIC started as a metal band and kept some of that heavier sound, which is why I was more drawn to them. Dirt is a damn near flawless record. I even like the new stuff with the new frontman. Just not as much. Jerry Cantrell is a great musician.

Guys they may be, you just can't say no without really thinking about it. They were that good and underrated on this board for sure.

She isn't even the best in the scene with her and Haley Paige on the table at the frat house but I digress.

Spears, oh hell yeah. But watch Glen get gun shy. Close his mouth and piss is splashing off his chin.

My take. Glen needs Mad Dog 20/20 to pull that off
