I was assuming that Taylor’s base salary was $1M, before any incentives, which would potentially put him ahead of Cael. but it’s impossible to know.

Yes, $1M is DT's base (per reports at the time).

He also receives performance bonuses, and other benefits. The were discussed in this article:

And are summarized as follows:

  • Performance Bonuses:
    • $125,000 for a team national championship.

    • $80,000 for a runner-up finish.

    • $60,000 for a third-place finish.

    • $10,000 per individual NCAA champion.
  • Other Benefits:
    • Golf course membership.

    • Four tickets to OSU football games.

    • Luxury suite at home wrestling matches.

    • Up to 12 tickets to wrestling duals and postseason tournaments.

    • Moving and temporary housing expenses.

    • Family travel to away wrestling matches.

Thx Tom, then I assume DT is paid more? DT’s $1M base plus the value of his “Other Benefits” above has to be more than $1.017M, even with zero performance bonuses.

the first article indicates Cael is paid more.

TBH this was my first post on this site and I was checking that everything works on my end.

BTW you and I interacted a bit when you had the email list server for football set up in approximately 1995.

There is also a time difference to account for. The numbers for Sanderson were past (2023-2024) while the numbers for Taylor are present (2024-2025).

So it is probably a true statement that as of the time of Sanderson's numbers (June 30, 2024) he was the highest paid coach, and as of now he may, or may not be.

It looks like Sanderson gets a 2.5% annual raise on his salary. Working backward from 315,177 it would have been an even 300 two years ago when he signed a new contract. So figure his 24-25 base was 323,056. The bonus does not work out as cleanly, but I think it would be fair to assume that has gone up a little each year, as well. If you assume a flat 600 two years ago, then 649,278 is a 4% annual increase. The caveat is that bonuses usually do not work that way.

Do you do graphs too? Just came over from rivals and there's guys there that do them.

Idk, that post just seems like something they would post.

Edit: And my name is still the same.

Most of the incentives seem achievable…

…first one listed-NOT HAPPENING!!
