I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I feel like with him always being so tall he never really had to grind to earn his place on a pick up team or growing up. Everyone just always assumed he’d be good at basketball. Never had to scrap like a Pitino to prove he belonged on the court for example. Can the guards even hear what he’s saying half the time being so much taller? Thoughts?

I think he’s too smart for his own good. If you watch close you can see him begin a sprint toward other teams players when they go down on the court. He’ll start pointing to their trainers showing them what to do next by pointing at his body directing them on how to rub the leg or how to check for the injury. I think he’s realizing he’s missed his calling as a trainer. If you saw that game last night, you could see it too.

Some have it set up to whine no matter how the night ends. "Heads I win Tails you lose" is their favorite game. They have to be ignored.

I’ve always said I’m fine with the fanbase it’s how we stay so engaged and known, keeps the staffs on their heals. But this was an exhibition, lol and it reads like we just lost the first 3 games.

Inch for inch, cannot help but wonder who's the best coach ?? Tom Izzo comes to mind, along with Travis Ford.
What has always been fascinating to me is the distinction between small college basketball coaches and small college basketball coaches.
I'm sure we could do a whole coaching comparison chart based on height vs coaching success with some semblance of correlation. Obviously we'd throw out any relevant data points like coaching tree, experience, whether or not they played college or pro ball, assistant coaches, intelligence, etc and solely focus on height verses winning. Could be fun. How short is too short to be successful and how tall is too tall to be successful on the bell diagram. Of course we will only be sampling exhibition games played in October, with at least one starter not playing, on a week night with the temperature ranging between 40-48 degrees in El-Nino cycles of odd ending years for our analysis. What could go wrong?
