Only golfers that are interested please reply. I think he needs Butch Harmon or someone of that ilk to help him. Guys like Harry Higgs are passing him by. 3 years in a row and no Tour Championship and no wins. Thoughts?

Yep. I know he’s still young but this looks more and more like Duvall. People say he’s going to win again, but I sure don’t see it. And lots of young players passing him by.

I think he is too young to write off for good. The fall though is just insane. He is gonna have to get a new swing or a mental coach. Something in order to hit consistent shots again.

Really wonder is its more mental like most things in life.

I think he still has it. May just need to change his coaches.

It will be difficult. He reminds me of Sergio after his early promise - too much time over the ball and too fidgety. Sergio finally got rid of a lot of that.

Too much success too soon. Mental pressure has to be weighing heavily.

Pretty young to have to rebuild everything. Stricker did it but at a much later time.

Seems #12 at Augusta a few years ago when he hit 2 straight in the pond was the beginning of it all. It's all mental with him but his driver is killing him right now. Currently 172nd in strokes gained off the tee, 198th in driving accuracy, and 101st in strokes gained to the green is not going to win many tournaments. He is still 21st in putting average but 157th in total putting. Get the driver fixed and its likely the rest of his game will come back into form.

Spieth has to have everything to be right in his game to win. He had a special run but is now just a good player. As a good player, he has the ability to win again but needs to avoid blow-ups..

IIRC, he's also one of the shorter hitters on the Tour right now. If he's not laser-accurate with every club, the other guys are gonna pummel him pretty consistently. He's still got time but, if it's mental, that's going to be harder to overcome than just a hitch in his swing.

Alumni you hit the nail on the head. Robbie Shelton and Harry Higgs are playing this week. Jordan should be on the phone with Harmon as we speak. His driving is trash. Just killing him. Hope he can snap out of it.

He can putt,he can scramble but he can't hit enough solid, normal and repeatable shots to keep pressure off himself. He may need to re-make his swing.

Spot on. He's always been loose, hitting it all over the place. His putter saved him. I hope he's done as he's a whiney little b****.

It seems like it all started after he signed the $200 million + deal with Under Armour. it was almost like he realized he was set for life and lost that winners edge. He used to be deadly from 25 feet in with the putter, now he is only average. Like the one poster said, he is not GREAT at one thing now and has to have a complete perfect tee to green round to score. Now do that for 3-4 days in a row and it makes really tough for him to win. He needs to break it all down, start from scratch. Kind of a do over. Get that hunger back. You started seeing his videos of him partying and all that junk, and lost the guy who lived, eat, and breathed golf. Everything else was second.

His biggest obstacle to dominating again is the sheer volume of much better talent (especially young guys) all around him than 5 years ago.

I heard Faldo say on one broadcast he had become to mechanical trying to make his swing perfect and that he needed to be more of a feel player.
