Arnel Pineda for Journey is pretty good. Sounds an awful lot like Steve Perry.

Kelly Hansen joined the band 15+yrs after their prime …. Foreigner is essentially a cover band now … for Mick Jones’ benefit
15? I'm a foreigner fan and I'd say their prime ended by the 80s so we are looking now at 30+
Maybe... Band was certainly more successful with BJ. Don't get me wrong, I am huge fan of BS
Brian Johnson and Sammy Haggar are the top 2 and there is a large gap down to the rest.

The Van Halen songs with DLR were better, but Sammy is the better singer.
DLR is the better frontman. Sammy is the better singer. In their prime both were good. I saw a DLR lead Van Halen a few years ago and Dave was such a mess it made me wish for Van Hagar, he could barely remember the lyrics.
DLR was out of control good. Sammy was great with Montrose.

DLR perhaps has a more limited vocal range, but it was the attitude he brought that made Van Halen Van Halen.
True on limited vocal range. His screaming made it seem like his range was much wider than it was.
Agree with the others, DLR better front man (and VH put out better music with him), but Hagar without a doubt was a better vocalist. Don't believe me? Take it from a vocal teacher...
