TIL, there are black people in Pulaski Co. I wouldn't have thought it.

That dude know about the mustard gas stockpile, the 5G leukemia, or the suspicious neighbors yet?

Make sure you’ve visited the Jerky buffet a few times before you let him down softly.

Bobcats are murdering local chickens....some are calling it a conspiracy, but I believe we’re seeing an act of genocide. History tells us that bobcats hate chickens. Hell, some of the crimes involve chickens with only their feet gnawed off left to flop to their deaths. Chickens are mobilizing under the banner of “CLM” and are marching in undisclosed locations with plans to take their message to the streets.

Turtles sunning themselves jump back in lake when I walk past. Make a nice little waves and scare the heron.

We got a new marathon gas station that has a chester’s chicken. anybody ever had chester’s gizzards?

Chester's is awesome when it's hot and fresh, but it's as unhealthy as it gets I'm still in the hospital after nine weeks (day 63 today!), but things are looking up; my kidneys are finally starting to produce a little bit, but they had to go in for an infection in my abdomen the other day (went in for an incisional hernia surgery; had a bad infection that knocked out my kidneys, and pneumonia twice.....). Let's see, idiots are still rioting from what I know, and Lebron is tearing it up in the bubble (who knew?). Let the good times roll!

Man, sounds like you have been through a lot, hope it is over soon. Your ills, I mean, lol. There are some that would have probably given up by now, hang in there, football season might happen after all.

We've received 2.2 inches rainfall so far today. Current temperature is 75°F. After triple digits for nearly a month straight during August, this weather is most welcome.

Thanks. We often underestimate what we can do until something forces us to do so. That said, I'm not going to lie, I have struggled with some depression, especially at night. Luckily, I have some Zoom/Facetime/message boards to keep me going (when I am well enough; each day has ups and downs). Fortunately and unfortunately, this isn't my first rodeo with long stays like this, so I'm used to it and I know how to deal; doesn't make it suck any less though. I was finally extubated, and if my kidneys can return to normal function, they will do the abdominal reconstruction surgery (I have to have this before I can leave), which will be a one or two week recovery; I still have a hernia because the mesh from the previous surgery failed, and they want to reconstruct the abdominal wall to hopefully prevent these constant hernias (incisional hernias from dozens of surgeries in the stomach/belly).

Anyway, I had planned to go to the Mizzou and Auburn games; I want to make it to every SEC stadium. I've only been to the Swamp, and it wasn't a Kentucky game. I was going to do Mississippi St and Georgia (or Vandy, or Cocks) next year. This all came crashing down when COVID hit and it looks like I won't be able to go to any games this year (unless they increase capacity levels).

In other news, it is September 10, 2020, at 1:50 PM Eastern time, and Louisville STILL sucks!

Yikes! Get well soon. Wishing you all the best.

Our high today in Austin was 67°F. It shatters a previous record for this date set back in 1948 when the high for that date was 74°F. Thank you, cold front. We needed it.

Well our city manager resigned before he even started because some controversial emails arose that he had sent in a previous job. In my city, the city manager is the top position within city government.

We’re also home to Liberty University, so Jerry Falwell Jr.’s corruption is a big deal.

Other than that, the mall is continuing to be revitalized and become a center of commerce again, and we’re getting two new Chicfilas.

Most of the other big news effecting is locally is coming from new legislation at the state level.

Chickens with their legs gnawed off and still marching is newsworthy anywhere.

A record number of murders are happening at the same time as the "mostly peaceful" protests here in Louisville. There was also a horse race last week.

Austin City in Corbin has a beer and bones wing special on Monday's.

Randy had a yard sale over on 196 in the Nancy/Faubush area the other day. He was selling green beans for 10 a quart jar as well as the 15 mile yard sale.
