Yup. I've already posted my projected screw job bracket on Facebook today as a status so when it happens next week I can say "Told you so" to all my UK hating friends who think I am a conspiracy theorist on the committee stacking UK's bracket.Originally posted by Kramer318:
Overall #1 is just a nice little title to have. The committee has shown countless times that this distinction has absolutely no added benefit whatsoever.
Bingo BC. It means nothing unless your guaranteed the lowest 2 at least!Originally posted by BoulderCat:
I suppose if Duke wins the ACCT, and we lose Friday it could happen. Not likely, but could. Still, what the heck does being the overall #1 mean anyway? If Duke gets paired with Gonzaga, and/or gets a weaker 8/9 matchup than UK then really they are the overall #1 even if the committee designates UK as such. They really need to think this whole geography thing over. If that takes precedent then why every bother designating an overall #1?
It literally does not matter if UK is the #1 overall seed. They are going to Cleveland regardless I'd say, unless they put Duke in Cleveland if they were #1 overall and sent UK to the South.Originally posted by BoulderCat:

Your post brings up a question I've been pondering. Like everyone else here college basketball is right now the foremost thing on my mind. Is it really much of an advantage to have a big "home" crowd at an NCAA game? Every team brings their best effort in every game, and every coach pulls out all the stops in an even relatively close game because they all know it's win or go home. UK fans could be 2/3's of the crowd for the regional final, assuming we make it of course, and I'm not convinced it would really help all that much particularly if we end up playing another legit title contender, especially a B10 team in the heart of B10 country. I don't fear Wisconsin or any team, but I'd like to see them slide into a one just to see who the committee would pair with UK. I'd bet it still won't be Gonzaga, and could be Maryland team, another B10 team who'd I seed as a 2 assuming they win today. I think with 7 losses KU should be out unless Maryland loses before a B10 title game with Wisconsin.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:

That said, in no way does a 3 loss team trump a 1 loss team. So once again, zero chance UK does not get the #1 overall seed, but it does not matter as they will be put in the toughest bracket by far due to idiotic geographical considerations that in no way help the lesser teams being put in UK's bracket due to the power of BBN and the dominance of UK's basketball team (not in that order of course).

Yes, if we lose 3 times in the SEC Tourney...

Will for sure will not be the number 1 seed. If the NCAA does not use the s curve. Just to say this team is the number 1 seed does not mean crap, the number 1 seed gets the worse number 2 seed, ect. ect.
um, there's no chance for UK to lose overall #1 seed.Originally posted by BoulderCat:
