Should have asked the question about jersey numbers without admitting you follow them on Instagram.
I believe 77 is not a legal number for College. Unless the ruling has changed, an official must be able to signal a players number on one hand. Thus 55 is the highest number that a college player can wear. Likewise, no 6,7,8,9, 16,17,18,19 etc

Haha. Dang. I have been watching college basketball since 92 (took some years off during the Calipari era) and I never noticed the old rule of no numbers above 5.
