Just saw this on the internet. From Jeff Goodman:

Grand Canyon lands Northwestern transfer Isiah Brown, sources told ESPN. Will sit one and have two left. Dan Majerle getting work done.

Just saw that on Twitter. Best of luck to No. 12. He went through a pretty difficult year, never complained and remained a good teammate. I think he may really fill it up at a place like GCU. The kid can score.

Well....maybe....if the Grand Canyon can be filled.

I have my doubts.

GCU's an interesting place, they've poured a ton of money into sports and into their sports media/sports info programs and have pretty big aspirations. They fill a 7,000 seat arena every game despite playing in the WAC, and have a big rowdy student section. The season that just ended was the first season they were eligible for the NCAA tournament and they made the WAC title game. Should be a fun place for Isiah to play and there's a pretty good chance he'll get to be part of another tourney team there.

Their coach is also former Phoenix Sun “Thunder” Dan Majerle.

I’m excited to watch him and hope he’ll do well. He was an important part of the NCAA team (@Rutgers comes to mind) and, almost as importantly, handled a bad situation last season with class and dignity.

I think Jerry Colengelo is heavily involved with GCU. That's why you see some whiffs of Illinois associated with the school.

Yeah and I think that's where a lot of the money comes from too. They just spent $1 billion on new sports facilities, their new soccer/baseball/softball stadiums are better than many power 5 schools. They have much bigger plans than just being the beasts of the WAC.
