To turn things around. Just thought that simple idea should sink in amidst the pervasive negativity. As rational people know, he’s earned the right to have a really bad year whether you like it or not. I hope like hell he can rally the troops and you should too because there’s no way we can hire a new coach next year.

I think you need a good dose of reality. That reality is 2-10. If any thing we are regressing. This is a poorly coached and conditioned team.

So, where are 5 wins going to come from? You guys are dreaming, if you think we win the last 5! We are going to finish the season 2-10 or at best 9-3. The way I see it:

1) Wake Forest at best a toss up.
2) Clemson a for sure looss.
3) Syracuse a probable loss.
4) North Carolina State a for sure loss.
5) Kentucky a for sure loss.

THe way ESPN is projecting it:

ESPN Louisville's win probability:
Wake Forest 48.7%
Clemson 1.6%
Syracuse 12.7%
North Carolina State 16.3%
Kentucky 15.6%

Louisville AD Vince Tyra better find or raise the money to fire Bobby Petrino! Petrino will empty the stadium and set football up to need a ten year rebuild, if he is allowed to stay!

I am grateful to Bobby for the heights he took us to and for his part in bringing a Heisman trophy.

That said, I do not see how it's possible to turn this around, this year or next. We have been on a downward trend since the end of 2016, including recruiting, but also in coaching up the talent we have. The assistant coaches, especially Nick and Kolby, don't seem to be pulling their weight in terms of teaching fundamentals and getting the team motivated to play. This is a systemic problem and it cannot be fixed without a change at the top.
