.....the University of Kentucky football program is the fourth best in the state. Louisville & Western are obviously heads above UK, but I think EKU would win a hypothetical game at their place & at a neutral site. Hell, they'd probably win in Lexington, like they should have won last year. Exactly how this has happened honestly escapes me, but the really sad thing is, I see nothing to encourage me for the future......absolutely nothing.

I have moved on. I was there sat night and watched this team just fall apart. It made me sick. I'm 33 and if i live to be 100+ i will never see a winning football program at Kentucky. I'm not talking 6 or 7 wins. What i mean is 9+ wins a season. No more money will be spent by me on this garbage program. Is it Basket Ball Season Yet.....

I think UK could beat Murray ST, Morehead ST, etc. I'm not sure about EKU. UL and WKU? Yeah, not even a conversation at this point.

I'm 44, I've always had the mindset unfortunately if UK football can lose a football game they will, one way or another it happens. Yes, I think EKU, WKU and UL are far superior too UK!! How does a DUKE university come from the bottom to the top as an example!? And sustain?

EKU is D1-FCS (formerly Division 1AA), and I think we would beat EKU...they are unranked FCS I believe. However, in our current state, UK would lose to about half of the FCS top 25 (No Dakota St, No Iowa, JMU, Coastal Carolina, Citadel, Eastern Washington, Richmond, etc), and some of the teams would beat us badly (NDSU, EWU, Richmond, Sam Houston... maybe a couple of others). This is really a sad statement considering FCS is limited to 63 scholarships. This is why I say we should be looking at good HCs from good FCS schools when looking for future HCs. You have to be a good evaluator and developer of talent when you're cap is 63 schollys. Jim Tressel went straight from Youngstown St to OSU.....there are some good HCs with D1 experience we may be overlooking.

Duke hired a proven HC with good experience.

This is actually a pretty solid theory. JMU and NDSU's coaches in particular would intrigue me.

^ and they have fewer scholarship athletes. Had it not been for a miracle catch by Baker, we lose. The OP needs to take a lap.

We score 35 against USM which is much better than EKU but we would lose to EKU? We would have scored 60 by halftime against EKU on Saturday.

Just another ignorant piling on thread.

I see a yellow flag, piling on after a 40 yeard gain by UK! Nope, dammit, it is just OL holding again...
