How many layups are we going to give Florida? Please, Cal teach some kind of zone to your team so quicker small guards don't gash our defense time after time.

it appears to be poor communication on the pick and rolls towards the basket.... we handle the perimeter screens better

It's really hard to zone a team like Florida or Duke...due to 3 point shooting.

That said, I'm all for playing off certain players (HILL HILL HILL!!!) that are not known perimeter threats.

We had 1 time where Ulis switched and got the steal after he was beat by his man and he read the pass to the guy our center left. That stopped the wrap around pass they were getting when our center left his man and went for the block when switching. Maybe we figured out how to solve it now. If you get beat and our center switches to cover your man, go straight to the guy the center left and not watch the shot or worry about the rebound.

Pitiful, I mean NO DEFENSE! Did all of their points come from the paint! Seems like it.

Most took away the drive to the hole with zone and made them beat them over the top.

You would have thought we would have learned a few things after the UF game last week and the UGA game before that.

This is page 1 of the Beat-UK-Playbook. I don't want to see this with a ref crew that calls it tight... will be a lot of and-1s if that happens. Gonna need some adjustments for the NCAA tourney.

It's a "lay up" drill if you completely ignore the fact that Florida has turned it over on almost a quarter of their possessions.

I believe X has it figured out. Not sure how many here know that we play 2 halves almost every game. If you want to raise hell and coach the team 5 minutes into the game, be my guest, but know we are usually playing 40 minute games.

Cal is using the SEC Tournament as a practice session. He wants our team to have to defend against quick, driving guards so when we face a team in the NCAA that will use the same strategy, we'll be better prepared.

We need to rotate better everywhere, these games will provide a great opportunity to play teams that know our weaknesses, so we can work on getting better at it.

Cal is wonderful at using every situation to our advantage, especially working on individual and team deficiencies.
