In watching this team play it is not cohesive and too young. Rebounding and defense are no bueno. We also cannot close out close games

We gave up more than 80 points - again. We’re just not defensively cohesive. Our offense is really not bad at all.

I think at some point you might have to just embrace what you are. The team can't defend so why not emphasize offense and pace the rest of the year and hope you can win some high-scoring games. I know why Clayton plays but it's not working, give his minutes to guys who can score. I remember in CC's first season he realized the team had no offensive talent so he tried to make every game like 47-44. Just go the other way now, at least make it entertaining.

Our 3 pt shooting sure is. I'd play Green way more than Clayton; this move by Collins has a lot of people scratching their heads. Who knows what KJ's situation is but his 3 pt shooting sure would help.

KJ being completely benched is just idiotic by Collins. You need shooting and he can bring that. Don’t give me an BS defensive issues. We suck on defense anyways.

We may not win a conference game. Not likely, but possible (to go 0 for B1G).

When we were up 67-60 I thought we would finally close out a game. Foolish me. Way too much Clayton, and surprisingly Reid is not a real point guard, I think West is much better at running the offense.

They’ve been in every game (outside of Wisconsin) so they’ll win some. NU is 361st in the country (out of 365 teams) in KenPom’s dreaded “luck” factor, which basically means the metrics are much better than the W-L record so it’s confirmation that they can’t figure out how to finish a game down the stretch. That can partially be bad luck (like Tyson making that 3 late in the game while drifting like 10 feet to his left) but largely is the manifestation of all the issues that are apparent
