With a noon kick, I'd say the game should be pretty well wrapped up by 12:30.
I'll take my 4 year old to his tee ball game at 11a Central, not give a second thought to our game, come home, shower, grill up some burgers and mix up some cocktails, and settle in for the Red River Shootout at 230p. Hook 'em Horns.
Had a conversation with another tee ball dad at prax last night. This dad is a lifelong Austinite and UT legacy and undergrad alum (as opposed to my grad alum), so he bleeds burnt orange like I bleed garnet. He said the first things that come to mind when he hears "South Carolina" are Alex Murdaugh, followed by the Confederate flag. Sigh. Anyway, we had a much more interesting conversation regarding fandom, and I told him how I've been to / watched so few Texas games over the last 18 years (when I moved to Austin to go to grad school) because I always prioritized Carolina games. He point blank asked me, "why would you torture yourself following a mediocre program when you also have a degree from a blue blood program and can just follow them as an alum instead?" I didn't have a good answer.
