This morning I put on a Duke sweat shirt and my wife and I went to breakfast. For some reason I thought that I may run into a tar heel fan who would say to me that yeah you Duke fan's start wearing your gear after a big win don't you. Well guess what happened. As soon as my wife and I sat down a unc fan/friend of mine walked by and said those exact words as he was headed toward the door. I got right up and followed him to the door telling him that unc fans don't start crowing unless they are winning. As he goes out the door I'm still behind him and he's just smiling away but saying nothing and walking faster. I close the door and sit down and my wife is just shaking her head and laughing . I guess I was pretty loud because the guy sitting behind my wife in the next booth is giving me the thumbs up and smiling. He told me way to go and I was exactly right. Thank goodness he was a Duke fan. He and I had a great conversation about the rivalry discussing the Grayson situation and the unc academic scandal among other things. I told him my friend was a tar heel fan and he couldn't help it because it was his nature bless his heart. My new found Duke buddy loved it. Great morning and I was proud of myself. OFC

Maybe he only notices the Duke shirts after a big Duke win because he watches every Duke game just hoping for a loss, and when we ruin his night by winning, he feels the need to take it out on someone.

I'm waiting for someone to say something about my kids' shirts. I'm going to have my 6 year old trip them as they walk away.
