I am asking this purely out of curiosity - if you had your choice, would you prefer a Heisman for Jackson or a shot in the playoffs? Or, Heisman versus national championship? Pretty sure there is no right or wrong answer.

I Want ALL...But...I'll take a Heisman for Lamar...A Title is coming at some point in time...A Heisman for Louisville, and a Louisville Player is RARE...If EVER!!!

Team goals over individual goals...always.

It's NOT like Team Louisville started the season to get Lamar the Heisman...The Team started the season to get Team Louisville to the college football playoffs...But you Always...ALWAYS, do what's BEST for the team and the individual players at the SAME time...If you don't promote the players and acknowledge their contributions, you're basically telling them and future recruits that they DON'T matter!!!

In order of preference:

1. CardLaw is banned for asking dumb questions.
2. NC
3. Heisman

The Heisman is both a Team and Individual award...nobody now even going to consider you if you're say as a team 8-4.

You are correct. I really do not think this is over, yet. If we lose another game (I don't think we will) he will lose some votes.

I replied to CL's question on face value, but it doesn't appear likely to be an either-or situation... If we're in the CFP, there's virtually a zero chance LJ does not remain the runaway Heisman winner...

I believe only 16 players have won a Heisman and the NC and I'm not sure if they were done in the same year so the two don't necessarily go hand in hand. I will say however that your team does have to have some level of success. 6 have done it since 1997. Also there was talk of a Heisman "curse" the winner of the Heisman will lose the subsequent bowl game but since 2009 that has changed.

Just read on ESPN that if you bet $2 on Lamar to win the Heisman, and he wins, you will win $2.07.

Yikes!
