Like most IU fans, I am hoping that NW takes us to the woodshed today. We want the embarrassments to continue so hopefully Crean is gone at the end of the season. But anyways, I like your team this year. Collins has done a nice job. I hope that NW makes the tournament and I will be rooting for you guys to win if you do. I really like McIntosh.

Who would IU fans like to see coaching the Hoosiers?

Sorry to disappoint you but NU almost never cooperates in such situations. NU ftball chokes a 38 point lead vs John L Smith and Michigan State back in the day (didn't matter in the end) and the list goes on and on.

No way Crean gets whacked anyway. You guys gotta live with him a while longer.

It was "just" a 35 point lead, 38-3. NU gets the tie if they led by 38 since they lost 41-38;)

He only has 2 years left on his contract. He needs an extension. Our fan base is pretty apathetic right now.

And a serious answer of what coach I want that would be a realistic option? Tony Bennett.

Bennett would be a fantastic get for IU and move I could see happening with Tony being a Midwestern/BIG native.

Two questions, though.

Didn't Bennett turn down IU back in 2008? If so, was that solely be attributed to fallout from the Kelvin Sampson debacle?

When (not if) IU fires Crean their first call should be to Brad Stevens. After he says no they should go all in for Billy Donovan.

Not sure this would be a step up for Bennett though. UVA is a pretty storied program in the ACC.

While I wanted him in '08 and would love Bennett to IU in the near-future, I don't think it will happen. His sister was fired as IU women's coach many years ago. Seems to really like it there at UVA.

Bryant is a beast. If I were Indiana I'd feed him the ball every time. The rest of Indianas team is average

IU will have the money to make a good offer to someone.
This isn't the 80's or the 90's - IU is just a few years behind becoming Illinois. Outside of duke, Kentucky, Kansas, North Carolina and maybe ucla, Arizona and Michigan state I don't think kids put much weight on a schools basketball tradition any more. IU doesn't really offer anything that any other big ten program does

Those must be some very good discussions over Thanksgiving dinner on how to run off recruits and upper class men who aren't playing.

That isnt true. We have the best facilities in the Big Ten. The best recruiting base. The largest recruiting budget in the Nation. The biggest fanbase in the Big Ten. And the best overall tradition in the Big Ten. All IU needs is a competent coach. Imagine what Chris Collins would do here...

Charlottesville is an idyllic place to live. JPJones Arena is an unbelievable venue. I believe Bennett may be a lifer at UVA

Very possible. IU will make out good though with whoever they get. Glass is a good AD. He didn't hire Crean.

Best facilities is a stretch. Have you seen Crisler arena or whatever OSU place is called. How about Maryland's digs? No way in hell you have more cash the OSU, Michigan or MSU has. Doubt if you outdraw everyone in the Big ten. After watching tonight's game, you need more than an competent coach. Sorry but your living in the past. Maybe Bobby will come back and save you or throw another chair.
