-headed to Stuttgart next month. Been a few years...really looking forward to it.
It’s still squirrel season. You guys don’t know how to eat.(kidding), sorta.
Duck hunted all over the country. Stuttgart was the best ever. We were hunting flooded timber over a rice field.
-this will be my 3rd trip there. Only placed I've ever hunted duck. Spoiled.

Killed a world class Speck (lots of specks across his chest) just outside of Houston (Eagle Lake Texas) a few years ago. Got it hanging on the wall downstairs.

My cousins: Phil, Willie, Jase, and an uncle, Si, have always tried to get me to go with them. If they didn’t live all the way in Louisiana I’d likely take them up on it

Honest question, so forgive my ignorance, do you all eat your kill? I've had duck a handful of times and never really enjoyed it.
The guides we used in Arkansas gave me a recipe that my wife and I both love. We breast the ducks and cut them into slices and marinate them in milk overnight. She rolls them in flour and fries the pieces. If you like country fried steak you will love this recipe.
-always. Get duck confit *every* time its on the menu. The key with wild duck is to cook really slow. Smoked is good.
