A rumor on twitter is going around that he’s being investigated for a homicide that took place last year in Memphis, he was allegedly in the getaway car. This is obviously just a rumor but I wouldn’t be surprised if true. Seems like the NBA is about to drop the hammer on him, the NBA mentioned they uncovered some other things in their investigation. Thoughts on what it could be?

Might be a bad rumor. But. If he’s not in trouble now he probably will be in the future.

Having a gangsta mentality is considered cool these days. Even some in mainstream media glamorizes it and doesn't seem have a problem with it these days.

As fans, we have for years assumed that giving kids money will change their upbringing and the environment they grew up in. You always hope they will take advantage of the opportunity they are given, but it is hard to retrain someone at 18-22 years old just by giving them tons of money. Often, that only makes it worse. Lawrence Phillips from Nebraska comes to mind.

Would love to see Grizzlies should trade him to Utah for 4 or 5 first round picks. Might be able to keep Morant in check. I doubt that’s going to happen. Just dreaming outloud.

It’s like winning the lottery…people play the lottery because they’re bad at math and finances in the first place. Giving them a bunch of money doesn’t cure that, it only accentuates the problem often leading to disaster.

I don’t understand his fascination with being a thug. Making 100’s of millions of dollars and all he can think about is guns and gang wars. Don’t get me wrong, I support guns 100%. I carry a pistol in my passenger seat every single day while I’m on the road working.

The difference is, mine is solely for my protection and protection of others. Ja’s is to intimidate other thugs?? Or he thinks it makes him look cool?? Idk but he’s gonna regret being a moron one day and throwing away his life. The thugs he’s trying to be like would give it all up to be in his shoes.

That would be crazy. He obviously is hanging out with the wrong crew.

I dont know the particulars but why act like something....when you're supposed to be a role model to kids? Im saying growing up, kids looked up to most NBA players.

He's made a major mistake.

And we don't know what has made this negative influence on him.

No chance it’s more than a year. Max is one year but I think most expect it to be around 30-40.

For his sake hopefully it is a rumor some are running with based on the comment from Silver that they found a ‘fair amount of additional information’, but if you run around like a fool with a gun it’s just a matter of time until you are involved in something like this.

It's always been that way. Most people who don't understand money and have a rough upbringing end up broke regardless what finances fall in their laps. Whether it be entertainers, athletes, lotto winners, etc.

The ones who make it are either somewhat grounded or have really grounded people, who they trust, looking out for them.
