Someone shared the screenshot on X. Pilgrim said it’s not done yet, but JQ could very well sign with UK tomorrow
Tomorrow could be a decision day but isn’t certain. Kentucky in good shape. So update is a tease but nothing definite

Not sure how to feel on that. He could potentially be really good. He's also coming off a blown ACL. A bit risky.
My guess is we’ll structure his NIL as backloaded to ensure he plays. Plus, he’s gonna want to play to pump up his draft stock too

I mean that both ways, not s sure thing he comes, not a sure thing he's gonna be good. ACL's are tricky. He may come out and be good or he may come out and worry about injuring it again. Knees are confidence injuries a lot of times.

I see this as nothing but a positive. Pope will be well aware of that and not hang his hat on him being 100%, I’m sure.
This level of talent is what any team with championship aspirations wants on their roster.

It is certainly possible, though I would say JQ and Pierre may be the more likely scenario at this point. Obviously I'm good with either/or.
JQ won't even be healthy by the start of next season. Move on from him.

JQ is so talented he’s worth waiting on. Kid would be phenomenal in our offense and is a really good defensive player too.
Where exactly is the talent? I *HATE* this news. Why on Earth would we want some kid coming off an injury who is young for his grade, is going to bounce to the NBA as soon as he can, and who might have some handler issues?
These highlights are awful. How hard is it to get a good highlight reel?

We have 15 scholarships.. Pick 2 more good players plus him in case something crazy happens in draft run up that leaves us 1. Pope wasn't gonna use the last 2 anyway. How do we lose here.
We lose if he keeps somebody that, you know, can actually PLAY from coming here.

How good would JQ have been in Alvaro 's conference?
Pre Injury he was a projected top 5 pick this year so yeah you take a chance on him. He has all the motivation in the world to get back healthy asap.
They have him rated at the tippy top of the portal. He could end up being great. Definitely needs FT work.
