Bilas comes on at the 20:40 mark.
He said a fully healthy UK team could get to the FF by saying because he didn't think they were as good as the four 1 seeds but that doesn't mean they couldn't have gotten there.Jay Bilas was right about some things but I disagree that a fully healthy Kentucky team wasn’t a final four team or better than one of those one seeds.

I mean in college basketball anything could happen. But Kentucky got trounced by a Tennessee team which then got absolutely obliterated by Houston.Jay Bilas was right about some things but I disagree that a fully healthy Kentucky team wasn’t a final four team or better than one of those one seeds.
Agree. Houston was the one team I did not want.We could have beat UT healthy but Houston would have been a challenge.
And to emphasize your point about 'anything can happen' ... we were also 2-1 against the four #1 seeds that Bilas said were all better than us. So ... there's that too ... lol.I mean in college basketball anything could happen. But Kentucky got trounced by a Tennessee team which then got absolutely obliterated by Houston.
We smoke Tenn twice so that added determination to beat us was to the extent. We were their national championship and again we wasn’t healthy.I mean in college basketball anything could happen. But Kentucky got trounced by a Tennessee team which then got absolutely obliterated by Houston.
Beat Tennessee underhanded on February 11.Last years team wasn't as good as some of you want to think. We were awful defensively. While we did see some improvement, we were still prone to getting absolutely shredded by good players.
We started off great offensively, but we seemed to regress as the season went on.
"But, but, but...we beat a lot of ranked teams!" Sure, early in the season, when they were still figuring things out and we were able to rely on experienced players. However, similar to USCjr the year before, once conference play started, those teams quickly closed the gap and we regressed a bit.
It was still a solid year for a new coach, staff and team, but people are getting a bit carried away thinking that team was a legit F4 contender by end of the season, even without the injuries.
OMG, we beat those teams???...Just go ahead and hand us the trophy why don't you!Beat Tennessee underhanded on February 11.
Beat a top 15 team underhanded in March on the road. Not sure why you are undervaluing last years team
Decent chunk of the losses you mentioned happened earlier than than the wins I mentioned. lol you really like to make your trolling abundantly obvious it seems.OMG, we beat those teams???...Just go ahead and hand us the trophy why don't you!
That is until you remember we had losses to unranked OH st., Clemson, Vandy, Arky, Georgia TX and MS. Finished in a 3 way tie for 6th in our own conference.
So, why are you overvaluing them?
Lol, no they didn't, but way to create a new version. We literally lost to TX right after beating TN, then lost to Bama and Auburn (the next 2 ranked opponents we faced) before beating ranked Mizzou, and then losing to the next 2 ranked opponents we faced in Bama and UT.Decent chunk of the losses you mentioned happened earlier than than the wins I mentioned. lol you really like to make your trolling abundantly obvious it seems.
Eh you can’t measure like that. It’s all about matchups and in any given night that can change. You can’t connect dots with wins and losses.I mean in college basketball anything could happen. But Kentucky got trounced by a Tennessee team which then got absolutely obliterated by Houston.

From the start of SEC play, we went 6-6 against ranked teams and had 4 losses against unranked teams.
I'm sorry you believe facts are trolling, but they are still facts.
IL was 22-13 and 7th in their conference. They weren't exactly that good either.IL was ranked 26th. It's not like that made them some awful team.
Houston would have jacked us up IMO. They were way too good and physical for that team. Still would have been exactly where I thought we ended up really.Agree. Houston was the one team I did not want.
