Ehh i've seen Jackson Smith post videos of him hitting a 60 yarder before and now you hardly hear about him at practices. I need to see these kickers hit these with pressure.

That's a nice kick without question. But hard to compare it to a pressure kick in front of 60k plus fans with a snap, a hold and 11 try to make you miss. But a very nice kick, up quick and about as straight as a soccer kicker can . Should be an excellent kicker.

Nice kick, for sure. What we really need is someone who is nearly automatic from 45 yards and in and hits EVERY SINGLE PAT. I'm hoping we don't ever have to try a 61-yard FG. We had a ton of trouble with 40-yarders last year to the point that Stoops would eschew the FG attempt at times (or certainly not play for it with the playcalling). And there is no excuse barring a horrible snap for a PAT not to be too high to block and through the uprights.

That is reasonable expectations. Regardless of how strong the leg is, those goalposts just aren't very wide from 50+ yards away. And PATs should be automatic unless a bad snap ot bobbled hold.

Exactly. 1 STEP 60 yarder is frickin awesome. Off the ground... more awesomer. There isn't anyone going to put their hands on that one step 60 yarder

That quick 60 yarder off the ground will get you a job in the NFL before being automatic from 45 yards and in. Austin Mc will tell you that.

I think he was kicking off of a tee on his videos. This kid isn't.

How many place kickers does UK have? At least 4?

We always carry what seems like 15 special team only guys. Can't imagine many teams carry as many.

Its unfortunately been out of necessity too.
