I think Petrino is keeping it close to his vest and delaying letting Clemson know for as long as possible.
I've read on twitter that Jaire's Dad says he is still day-to-day, but he won't play unless he is 100%.
Have a feeling that we're being told his and on thursday-friday we will hear that he's good to play.
That's the right thing to do. It's just 1 game and his health is more important. If he isn't 100%, he should not even think about playing. Nothing good can come from him playing hurt.
^This. I would rather have him healthy for the remaining 9 games after Clemson than have him playing hurt for the remaining 10 including Clemson.
If he doesn't play the front 7 must harass their QB all night for the Cards to win - IMO. Can't rely on the other corners to cover.
I would not be surprised at all if we see Alexander on the field suited up and ready to go Saturday night.

This is not always true. It depends on his injury. If, in fact, he has a bone bruise and that is all it is, he could easily play and be very effective. The problem is with a bone bruise when you play on it the pain keeps coming back. However, after Clemson he could rest up for 3 weeks and be ready for NCST. We won't need him vs. Kent and Murray. I'm just not all that convinced that was really his only injury.
There is nothing to be gained by Petrino saying he does or does not play. But, I saw that injury when it happened, I just don't have a good feeling about him playing for a while. Kind of like DeVante Parker in 2.0's first year.
Bobby's playing poker with the "day to day" thing. I would not be surprised if he is done for the year. Having played in only part of one game, he'd be eligible for a medical redshirt if he goes that route. Depending on the injury, he may be knocked out of first round status (that's my pure speculation though). When I saw that injury in slow motion, I said "he's done for the year" to myself. I hope I am wrong and will happily eat a Golden Corral buffet of crow until I get the diabeetus if I am.
