So I guess the rumors and speculation were true. I hope he’s not pursuing the idea of going overseas. This could possibly be why K was going all in on Kuminga for 2020.

He must’ve gotten home sick. He wasn’t ready to live that life yet because IMG is different. They can’t really move around or go anywhere. It’s just staying on that campus and the same routine everyday
I had the opportunity to leave my school and play baseball at IMG. I looked into it very seriously. And I definitely didn’t think that was the life for me. Had to pass.
It’s a big change especially for a high school kid. That takes a lot of discipline. Every single person there is so focused on their sport. High school kids want to mess with girls and go out. None of that at IMG. But it is a very nice campus. I went up there to coach football when we played them. It’s top notch

Has there actually been any indication of him considering going overseas?? I have searched all over the place and don't think that is even a rumor yet.

Sounds like it has more to do with not furthering any injuries while in high school and simply preparing himself for Duke and beyond.
We had a family friend whose son did go there for baseball his freshman year a few years back. He loved it the first month....after that he couldn't wait to get out. The parents made him stick it out for the full year but when the school year ended he couldn't leave fast enough.
That’s spot on what I was afraid I would do. I live in Ohio, so it would’ve been a whole ordeal to get back home if it didn’t work out.
From what I’ve heard he got injured and had some type of surgery. That might have something to do with it. But it’s probably not a terrible thing he’s not playing so he doesn’t risk further injury.
If he got injured and had surgery that’s definitely the best place you can be for treatment to get you back to full strength. That place is so high tech and first class. I think he may have just not liked it.

Hopefully he is just shutting it down releasing his best basketball is in his future. Focus on graduating and preparing his game for the next level.
We had a kid a few years ago that played basketball for us who was an elite distance runner. He went to IMG after his sophomore year, but got hurt and according to him was a complete afterthought in every way while he recovered and couldn't run. He returned home for his senior year as a result.
Yea it’s a factory over there. They will get you out of there if you aren’t producing. It definitely prepares you for the real world
He is not injured . He is back at Nicolet High in Wisconsin . He is on the team and played last night at Slinger .
