He makes good points. His first point I said right after the loss, in that it almost looked like Riley was trying to get through this first game like it was your typical cream puff and not show too much of the playbook.

What did he say!

To summarize: Offense - Riley called a basic vanilla game; missed Shep; Passing suffered because of lack of involvement of Andrews; should have used Perine and Mixon in the same backfield much of the time; TE (Andrews) is the key of the passing game with the receivers we have; Mixon should have been given more carries when Perine was out injured; Baker had no option but to try and create plays because of receivers and OL.

Defense: Mike Stoops call a great game but defense played poorly, too many blown coverages, penalties, and both corners played terrible;

Special Teams - gave up the FG run back for Houston TD.....game over.

Listen for yourself on his Facebook page.....scroll down to his video.

I'd have to agree with James' assessment. Strongly agree.... :(

I thought he summed it up pretty well. He was critical of the coaching in some areas and praised Mike too, called out the defense and a couple of players specifically, and talked about using Mixon and Andrews more which I agree wholeheartedly. I liked his assessment and hope he makes a habit of sharing his thoughts more often.

Agree with James.
Having read and heard what Wilkinson and Fairbanks said after their Sooner teams lost to Texas in 1963 and to Kansas State in 1969, I have always had the opinion that "you win as a team.....you lose as a team". (In my opinion a "team" includes players AND coaches).
Both coaches put the blame on themselves as much as they did the players.

Mike called a great game until it was 3rd and long then he went soft.

That was James Allen's opinion and when he said that I kind of went "hum". But as he said in the video "I have a right to my opinion". True. He also compared last week to the 2015 Texas game.
