Ho boy. @Turk will be happy about this. But I’m not even though I foretold the truth on the Rock months ago…TOS has him switching to Syracuse. Truly hope not. Any info?

We won’t know ever know the reason a la Meredith, but going 3-9 without being competitive in most of our B1G losses has likely cost us 4 out of our 17 commitments if Jacquez leaves (24% of the class).Has nothing to do with O’Neil or the defensive scheme.
Die what it’s worth, he talks about the specter of homesickness here — his family’s been there all the time.
But, I mean, it’s because he doesn’t want to join a terrible defense.
Good thing there’s so much stability.
You really should still be on the Rock if you care so much about the details of this type of situation. Otherwise you're just speculating (incorrectly) in your responses.Die what it’s worth, he talks about the specter of homesickness here — his family’s been there all the time.

Hank would have helped, but, unless JON / Fitz were intentionally playing less talented people than were otherwise available, we'd have been lucky to win a couple more games. No way this team wins the West, not even with Bama's staff. Now, going 5-7, hypothetically, and not getting humiliated in several losses would have been nice, but not sure it would have helped re recruiting. Maybe.Pondering a question we will never have an answer for - if Hank was still here and we just won the west again, would all three D side decommits still have chosen to leave? They have there reasons - but was the decision that much easier because loser program w terrible D coordinator and terrible D?
Good lord... if we lost a QB recruit to Connecticut, then we have really hit rock bottom. There better be some serious soul searching going on in that new house in Northfield.True facts.
But also, a lot of the reasons players have for decommitting could have been overcome for Notre Dame or Michigan or Georgia or perhaps Iowa or Wake Forest.
The quarterback who didn’t want to go too far from Alabama due to family issues has publicly celebrated offers from Connecticut and Maryland (both farther away than Northwestern) and has visited Arizona State in the last two weeks.
A 3-9 team that stopped trying in October is the reason he will not be coming to Evanston. The ‘official’ reason is cover.
Why would I be happy about losing one of our top 2 remaining recruits?Ho boy. @Turk will be happy about this. But I’m not even though I foretold the truth on the Rock months ago…
Portal. All-in. Period. It's the only way to stop taking on water until Fitz can right the ship or Gragg fires him in January 2025.Why would I be happy about losing one of our top 2 remaining recruits?
Unfortunately, the data shows that this is the exact sorta thing we ought to expect. I know you arent a prophet but you should have wagered gocatsgo and used Ned as a neutral when gocatsgo adamantly denied JON would scatter his defensive recruits like roaches.
Unfortunately, these tough decommits have come at a difficult time.
The latest decommit was pulling back and dragging out academic timetables, forcing the administration to deny him.
Moving forward, we have unlimited holes to fill but we are most likely successful in luring a recruit from the grasp of liberty and western kentucky. And should be able to bring in the baseball stud to try his hand at leading our football team next year. And we were successful in getting the one arm RB.
Im not complaining, I figure lets give these guys a shot and see what happen , since other recruits with power 5 offers simply arent interested in the madness of not addressing serious issues. Otherwise, imo, i hope most of our team transfers out in the portal since they arent that good.
You got me crying in laughter! And should be able to bring in the baseball stud to try his hand at leading our football team next year. And we were successful in getting the one arm RB.

But what were their high school grades!Portal. All-in. Period. It's the only way to stop taking on water until Fitz can right the ship or Gragg fires him in January 2025.
There are dozens of kids in the portal and more joining every day. Advantages; 1) They have an academic record, should be no questions which are capable of doing the work and which aren't. Our admissions people will know near-instantly if their coursework/institution are legit. 2) They want to play. They will be willing to go to a P5 school where playing time is available at certain positions (all of them). 3) If they have other problems (legal), they would have likely surfaced by now. 4) everyone gets that "plus 8" thing this year where we can take up to like 33 kids. JFDI
Disadvantages: Many, but we have no choice
If i can make the board smile and make it last for an hour then all good! You got me crying in laughter!
Strange how Fitz actually has a fall back plan.True facts.

It is not strange at all. Our recruiting staff works nonstop checking kids out. We always have a next in line in case something like this happens. Look how quickly we offer the quarterback after the Alabama guy flew awayStrange how Fitz actually has a fall back plan.
First, all the best to Jaquez. It seems his replacement, Soares, is actually better.
Next, Meredith can stick it. Good luck (not) at ASU with the snake Edwards. Again, I like Lausch better.
Imagine that. The guy is a long-time defacto CEO of a $50M enterprise, and he actually has contingency plans and other strategies in place to address problems that arise. Silly us, thinking that all along Fitz was at home in his underwear, eating Cheetos, and texting bitcoin secrets with Kale as the Cats came off a terrible season.Strange how Fitz actually has a fall back plan.
