Jared just said that Baker needs to be benched. He only gives effort when Barker is playing. I'm not a fan of Towles, but I absolutely agree with him.

I agree but Baker isn't the only one. There are several more that have quit on PT.

Lorenzen says the entire offense should be benched and Towles should be allowed to play all 11 positions, then we'd really have something.
Towles threw a ball at Baker's feet. It was third down and he was four yards from the sticks. He had to catch it and keep running forward. Just because he didn't catch it doesn't mean he wasn't trying.
Baker caught three passes for twelve yards from Barker. Is that some great effort? He caught four for thirty from Towles. That one play in the fourth quarter he dragged three Vandy players ten yards for the first down. Tell me how he's dogging it for Towles then, huh.
He caught more passes for Baker and more passes for Towles than anyone else did for the whole game. Yeah, he didn't get many yards for that, but why don't we ask why that was. Because for all the complaining about Baker's blocking, he does it ten times more than any other receiver does.He catches a screen, and three guys jump on his back because no one else has thought to block for him.
Garret Johnson dropped a Towles touchdown. Timmons dropped a Towles touchdown. And he caught one for Baker. Where's the calls from everyone to bench them?

So you are saying I'm wrong? I'm super p*ssed at Stoops and my post just shows it. But everything i said is right. There are several players who think Barker is getting treated unfairly and.........
If Baker has an attitude where he's playing lazy on Towles on purpose.... thats the same attitude to get him to transfer if he's benched.

If you don't give 100% effort regardless of the QB, then you need to have his scholarship pulled. You have an obligation to always give it your best. If you don't, then you move on... Can't have players deciding who plays.
We're going to have nobody on our team then. The entire team quit against Tenn. and Georgia. Should everyone's scholarships be pulled?

And I would have to say that IF Lorenzen said anything about Towles playing all 11 positions it was obviously in jest, although I think he is a good enough athlete to play several of them, his two tackles on an aAl American and knocking another player winding were very impressive to me, I think he is a football player.
But while I like the hefty lefty he has no business at all talking about the crap he is speculating about.
I fail to see any possible logic in someone playing badly in order to make someone else look bad, how do you look in the process?

The slant on that big third down got me too Alley. Critical play and Baker trotted out stopped, then tried to break on the slant. Made it so easy for the DB to read the play and get position. I could have run a better route 53 and out of shape with a bad knee.
Did the WR play harder when Barker was in? Im sure they did. For the first time in several games, they felt like if they ran their routes, got open, then the ball would be accurately thrown to them.
