I have said this numerous times, but always get pushback; however, it is 100% the truth:
Pope is going to play "his guys", just like Cal would play "his guys", just like every coach in America will play "his guys."
Robinson and Williams are Pope's guys. That is the bottom line. Amari was garbage last night, but the only reason he was out was due to foul trouble, otherwise Pope would have left him in. Jaxson getting 27 min with his awful performance is a joke, to be honest.
But Pope is going to keep ramming those two guys down BBNs throat, in the same way Cal did with Wagner and Edwards last yr. The motivations may be different, but the result is the same, namely guys getting more minutes then they deserve, due to them solely being the coach's "guys." Don't expect anything to change this yr regarding playing time for Jaxson or Amari. Let's just hope they both improve.
