The same as I have always picked with the exception of I would have picked Mike Gminski over Brand. I tried to link it but couldn't. See 247 sports.

Jays picks.
Bobby Hurley
Johnny Dawkins
Grant Hill
Christian Laettner
Elton Brand
J.J. Redick coming off the bench.

Can you imagine these guys in their prime running the floor together. Who would guard them. You want 3 pointers, Bobby, Johnny, J.J. and even Laettner could light it up. Elton, Christian and Grant could board. Six is enough. Johnny D. and Grant could p.g. Grant could play four positions. Everyone of them had the ability to place the dagger. And talk about heart and hate to lose everyone of them had that. Tough team. I know this thread is going to bring up the best Dukies of all time again. And one more player I would like to add in honor of my OFC buddy Heyman25. Let me put Art Heyman on this team. Talk about nasty. thr would have a steady thread about him and how much he should be hated. Art Heyman came about 30 years too early. With the social media and the discussion boards we have today he would be beyond the shadow of a doubt the most hated player ever. Gerald, J.J., Bobby, Laettner, Shane, Collins, Wojo , Grayson and you pick em would be angels compared to Art. OFC

Looking forward to listening to this podcast after work this evening. I have really enjoyed Jon Scheyer's conversations with all of the former Blue Devils each week. For those who haven't tuned in, you should really check it out soon.

No one yet on Scheyer's podcast has even mentioned Jason Williams. Not even a mention (though I have missed a couple). I know he rubs some people wrong on occasion but man. Not even a mention.

I know he's joking around most of the time, but Justise rubs me the wrong way. I really can't relate to that level of youthful arrogance. It's not very becoming. What I do like is how Jon says, "Duke." He says it like -Dohk-.

Scheyer does say it like that. Haha. That Midwest twang.

And I agree about Justise, but i think it's more rare to have someone who is that talented but very humble. You have to be a little crazy and off beat to dedicate yourself so thoroughly to one thing.

You could tell coming in he was that way and even that if anyone would have trouble buying in it would be him, and he obviously co-signed that.

But I'm glad we had that arrogant SOB on our team. Lol.

That's about the way I feel too. Justise just has some growing to do, which can be said for most any 19-20 year old. He's been so gifted from an early age, and has had nothing but success since then. It stands to reason he doesn't yet fully understand the importance of humility. Even as he focuses on his own talents and accomplishments, you can see that he valued Coach K's guidance and tough love. My guess is he'll start appreciating K and Duke more as he ages and realizes that things could have easily been much rockier for himself. Most importantly though, Justise appears to be a good person. I'm looking forward to see how he handles being front and center on a team that has average NBA talent this season. He handled adversity at Duke pretty well. I'm hoping he does the same in Miami.
