Now that would be funny if one of our tech gurus could photoshop Jay's face onto the excited Kermit we see on here from time to time.Originally posted by Chino1176:

Yep, that's him.Originally posted by Smashcat:

It happens fairly regularly in the women's game because the distribution of talent is so much more concentrated.Originally posted by reignof cats:
I am tired of hearing that it is impossible for a mens basketball team to go undefeated. It has happened before. I guess it is ok for the women to do it and not the men. I hope our boys stay focused for 9 more games and shut these @ss hats up. UK has had many close games this year. This is what you get when you hire all unc cheat and dook players. GBB
Its about people making ridiculous comments.....which is what Jay Williams did. He's paid to be an expert. That's hardly expert analysis.Originally posted by fuzz77:

Nobody has said that it is impossible but it has been 40 years since it's happened.
I'm not so sure why so many of you get your panties in a wad whenever somebody says anything but "Kentucky will win it all"?
What effect will what they say have on the tourney?
Zero, zilch, nadda. So why does it bother you?
Sports writing in general has gotten so much better these last 10 years, but there is still far too much of this cliche BS masquerading as journalism, entertainment, opinion pieces, or what not. I guess people tune in to such nonsense.Originally posted by MdWIldcat55:
If Kentucky loses through ANY circumstance -- say a strong team gets red hot and hits 20 contested 3-point shots -- people will say forever that it was because the Cats went into the tournament without a loss. It is just the kind of lazy cliche sports analysts can't resist.

Don't you mean that Kentucky has more talent than anyone else on the mens side.

The ACC fans are dying to see us lose, I have a person that I have business dealings with and they have been pretty coy all season but she finally broke down the other night and said y'all would not be undefeated if you played in ACC. I imagine it would have been more difficult so I hope if we lose it won't be to a ACC school. I reminded her that our guys had beat both ACC teams we have faced plus there was two SEC schools in final four last season. At the same time I don't want to get in the chest thumping business if these guys do get upset, they have given us a season to remember already.Originally posted by UKWildcats#8:

Another comparison would be Wichita State last year. They didn't lose to UK because the game was close and they got nervous. Both teams were insanely efficient offensively, even down the stretch. Kentucky just made a couple of stops when they needed to.Originally posted by Blind Karl Hess:
Lots of people equate not losing to not being tested. Lord knows our guys have been tested, and in fact, the numbers our guys have been putting up during "winning time" scenarios are ungodly efficient on both sides of the court, but especially on defense.
It isn't like 1991 UNLV, great as they were, being totally boned once Greg Anthony fouled out against Duke.
