I've heard of him. PSU has offered, but he's not visited. The majority of his visits seem to be in FL or the Southeast. Going from memory (so don't take this as gospel), but I think Wisky and Oklahoma are the only schools he's visited that are outside of the aforementioned parameters. There was an article somewhat recently listing his scheduled officials. While those things can (and do) change, I believe Wisky was one of the schools he was planning to officially visit.

Perhaps your daughter-in-law can put in a good word to her friend about the reasons Jayden should give PSU a legitimate shot (with the caveat that I have no idea where PSU has him on their board).

Visits Commence 5/30 @Wiscy... Right now seems like Miami is the leader.

My wife said his dad is not very keen on him going to the Miami area, for obvious reasons. lol
In all honesty the UM campus is beautiful. I was very impressed when my daughter toured there. Coral Gables is a beautiful old section of Miami where a lot of money resides. My step daughter is finishing up her 2nd year at Univ of Miami Law School. She loves it. I felt very safe on campus and it really is a beautiful campus. Doesn't feel like you are in a city. He and his family have to make their own choice obviously, but to me there are a lot worse colleges in cities that one could choose. I just got back from Coral Gables making sales calls on hospitals and driving around down there it does impress me how beautiful it is.

I was in Ft Lauderdale a few months ago and everyone said the traffic in south Florida is horrendous, which took me a bit by surprise. They specifically said the drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami. I had two Uber drivers tell me that they won’t accept clients that want to go to Miami. They said with the heavy traffic, it’s not worth their time. Have you encountered that? Ft. Lauderdale traffic was pretty heavy.

Yup... But usually the express lanes are pretty open and move at a good clip. Most people don't want to pay to use the express lanes. I am usually heading north to Delray Beach where I live. Coming out of Miami at 5pm heading north even the express lanes can get backed up as well. If I am in Miami my general rule is leave before 4pm... anything after that if I have sales meetings I just stay in Miami for dinner. Best places to eat there... Peruvian, Cuban, Argentinian, Brazilian, sushi, seafood (stone crabs) the list goes on and on. Family run restaurants and recipes. The food in Miami is just so good.

EDIT: I should note I can also use the FL turnpike out west that runs north/south parallel to 95 so that gives me another option if 95 is all backed up as well.

Coral Gables is quite a different animal than Miami proper. It really is a nice area. Unfortunately the surrounding area is pretty sketchy. Whatever his choice someone is getting a good player and good kid.
