Knee injury scares me plus our injury luck …idk on that
I would pass. Lots of options. Part of the problem is that we are most likely getting negatively recruited because every time a new player comes into the portal Kentucky is listed to have contacted. We need to ID a top 4 for every position of need and hone in on the ones we want. Maybe this is happening. But it feels like I am playing a game of whack-a-mole. It is like a cat chasing a laser.

Posted last year anyone was a fool for paying him because he was a one year rental. I assumed he was too young to make an impact worth the insane spend. He turned out better than expected but still true.
Hes going to demand an insane price and he will get a rich payday. Will be interesting to see who pays it. Of all the people out there, he sure feels like someone that would be worth a big spend.

Absolutely take him. The guy can play. He is a physical freak. Lets say he can ease into it starting in Sep. He is up to full speed by December, maybe January 1st. This kid can play!
I should have added at 6-9 230 and having signed with UK to begin with, knows Kentucky to begin with. He played high school ball at "Word of God" (should sound familiar as Wall played there). If I am going to take a chance on anyone its this guy.
Perhaps John Wall can help here if Pope wants him. I thought that last year before the injury he was at the level of Flagg with crazy motor. Not sure after ACL but if he is 90 % of last year , yess he is very good player, with the understanding he will go to nba after one year.

Really liked this kid when committed to us, and still do as a player. Big upside.
Not being cleared until September and then probably another few months to get back into game shape and form. Consider the chance for re-injury, money required, and one foot out the door as a high projected pick, I just think we'd be better off getting a vet in the portal.
