Jeff Badet with smartest play I've seen from a wildcat

I've seen lots of Wildcats stay in bounds, fumble fighting for yards, let receivers get behind them, run interceptions out of the end zone.

Badet goes down allowing timeout to kick a field goal? Hell, that's as rare as the cubs winning the pennant.

I really couldn't believe it. I would have bet you everything I own he was going to run the clock out trying to gain an extra 5 yards.

Very good point.....Badet makes a play that we don't make the past 30 years.

I agree that was a smart play. CMS is not perfect but perhaps being well coached as to what to do there should be considered.

And to think Stoops coached him to do that ;-) They practice it every week. Many on here will say UK won tonight in spite of Stoops. Fellas, your coach won a game for you tonight. More accurately, the players executed the end of the game the way they were coached.

With 9 seconds left, I was unsure whether we'd get the 15 yards we needed to set up a game winning FG. Turned out that we had just enough time.

I don't think the coaching staff did bad tonight myself with what we have to work with, outside of the clock management in the end. Not sure why people look to pile on, and in not a Stoops guy.

I don't think it takes a ton of coaching acumen to have kids instructed to get on the ground to save clock in that situation either.
