The more you read about Nagel, the more impressive his commitment is. This kid can really play. NU has upgraded the WR position by the flips of these two kids.The only strange thing is that NU wasn't able to get his initial commitment, given that NU was his "dream school" growing up. Someone really dropped the ball on that one.
I don't think anyone dropped the ball. NU simply had offers to WR's that they thought were better. Then Nagel committed to Duke in June and didn't attend the NU camp. If he had waited, and attended camp before committing to Duke, he may have gotten an offer then.
It's probably an independent thing like when Brett Basanez used to work with Kafka and Persa back in the day.
